If he fell asleep, this emphasizes the idea of frequent stops and reasonably short driving days. Never rationalize "I am getting sleepy, but I think I can pass this rest area and make it an hour or two down the road to the next". One can often get away with that in a car, but a wiggle-waggle in a motorhome often does not end well.

A stop and half hour or hour nap, even, can be a miracle rejuvenator. I am talking to myself, but you are free to listen in.
 
I’ll go to hell for it, but I chuckled. Poor soul. I’m glad no one was hurt.
Life is a tragedy to those who feel and a comedy to those who think. I’m certainly a thinker once I know everyone is okay.
