Say what you will about whatever defect(s) currently ails your unit (it’s always something, ain’t it?), but always remember, it could be worse - way worse.

Via MapWife’s Facebook - What the what????

In the afternoon of 08/17/20, while traveling on US-395 near the Secret Valley Rest Area, the driver of a motorhome, for unknown reasons, allowed his vehicle to drift to the left off the roadway. The vehicle struck the hillside bordering US-395. The impact caused the entire body of the motorhome to separate from the chassis. The body of the motorhome, including the driver who was still seatbelted in the driver's seat, tipped over on its side onto US-395. Both the body and chassis continuted sliding on the roadway before finally coming to a stop in the lanes of US-395.
Amazingly, no injuries were sustained to the driver! The motorhome, however, made need a little attention....

How is the house attached to the chassis? It seems like that separation was too easy

It’s a Fleetwood so...zip ties? I honestly don’t know but whatever the method, it failed big time.

Ya think? :ROFLMAO:

I think Fleetwood has quite a bit of explaining to do.

Good luck with that. I think I’ve heard good and bad stuff about every manufacturer out there, except Fleetwood. No offense to Fleetwood owners. Just wish the company would make a better product for all that money folks pay them.

That’s insane. I guess cleaning the tanks just got a little easier. :ROFLMAO:

I’ll go to hell for it, but I chuckled. Poor soul. I’m glad no one was hurt.

Ouch. The wife didn't like seeing that. Im glad everyone is ok. Like you said it could have been a lot worse.

Self tapping screws!

Saw that on FB...after reading the report, all I could think was perhaps the driver fell asleep?
