So folks, Arizona, well the wild west in general is dry. Not just this year, but most years.

So the season here in the west is handled differently than many Eastern locations.

Here we don't talk about the summer season, we refer to this season as fire season. The wonderful Arizona red rock canyon area is currently closed by order of forest service. Where the fire started, and its cause has not been determined, and I hope no lifes are lost while the brave fire fighters fight the blaze.

I keep this website open in My browser window during My travels in Arizona. If you are traveling here you might desire to do the same!

89A is closed but I dont see much impact to the tourist areas.. besides, who in there right mind travels to Sedona in the summer ☀️

Id be more concerned with another fire down in the Tonto Basin making a run up the rim..

I lost a cabin in the Rodeo fire and would hate to see an event like that again...

With luck yhe monsoon will be wet this year but the lightening it brings is a risk. Double edged sword.
