Well the camping season is ending. What was your most favorite stay for 2026. It could be a camp ground, a boon docking site, even a harvest Host. We travel all over this country so let us know what was your favorite.
I will start. We had some good camp grounds old time favorites, some new camp grounds that were bummers, but the best we stayed at last year was Swan bay in Alexandria Bay NY. The sites were absolutely beautiful with full hook ups, picnic tables, and concrete pads, You are right next to or on the St. Lawrence river that runs into Canada. You can take river tours, tours to Boldt Castle and the town close by is Clayton, They had some great restaurants right on the Marina. There is a GREAT Italian restaurant Di Prinzio Kitchen, 428 Riverside Dr. Clayton NY. They were outstanding.
There is also a quaint winery right outside of the camp grounds. Plus easy access right off the highway. Campsites are a little pricey, depending on what time of year you are staying. But if you are up northern NY, take a look see.
