Hello, this is Joe from Richardson TX. We bought an old 2000 Dodge 3500 Roadtrek 190 popular last year up in Michigan. The underside is quite rusty, to be expected.
We have black particles in the fresh water tank? I’ve flushed it some with hose to the fill line and drained. Doesn’t look like rust, maybe mold?
Ideas anyone as to how and what to clean out tank?

Welcome!

Give the forum search a go for sanitizing fresh.

If mold you will use bleach and there is a process to do that. If I can find the YouTube link I will post.

Thanks for the response, my neighbor and I used a chlorine solution and I filled the tank, waited a day and flushed it out. Filled it again and with water only and drove it to agitate and then drained. Will watch for any more black mtl, and repeat if necessary.
