The new one arrived today. I love the new accessory included in the VIP edition :)

Yeah right! That little marketing strategy will turn things around.

No pineapple??

So the question is why did my Ninja XL go kaput? I keep mine outside and while I have a cover for it, I'm too lazy to use it. So I think water intrusion into the front panel is my guess as to the cause. We've had a lot of rain here in VA recently. I'll be using the cover religiously from now on. If you don't have a cover for yours, you may want to consider one.

Owning a Ninja Woodfire means that "someday" you will need to clean it. And that "someday" came for me yesterday. Not really difficult, just messy.

I found that using one of these dowel pins (sticks?) worked very well for in-between the ridges on the grill. You can push the grease and stuff to the back of the grill and escort it down into the drain on the back. I used a piece of paper towel during part of the process and it cleaned up very nicely.

As for the other areas like the lid, Easy Off Cleaner/Degreaser (NOT over cleaner!) cut through the grease like a knife in butter. Then just wipe it up and call it good. (Note: I don't really think it's a good idea to use the degreaser directly on the part of the grill that food sits on!)

It'll never be "new" again, but it's not to bad.
