I have this and store it on top of the generator (strapped in).

that's a good idea, for where to store, thanks, but I think I'll shop for one made of something other than gold $$$

I use a 7ft "A" frame, but my rig is not 12ft high.

I use the 14ft Telesteps Combi Ladder. Expensive, yes. Totally worth it. Last year I got it from here for $425. Sadly, like everything else, the price has increased.

At least half a dozen people at campgrounds asked me about it last year. I'm pretty sure if I had extra's I could have sold them, then and there on the spot.

I use a Little Giant ladder that is stored in the pass through tray.

2X Love our Little Giant 17 ft ladder. It is heavy and takes a lot of room but it's my most favorite tool.
