I pick up my new camper on Saturday....one of the first upgrades I want to make is replacing the antiquated AGM marine battery with modern lifepo4 batteries I am thinking 2 200ah. The 1 draw back to these is you can't charge below 32F or you will damage the batteries. How do you guys handle charging in the winter. Some kind of heated box, take them in the house, just disconnect them?

Plastic wrapped Heater blanket wrapped around the batteries. And the heater pads are attached to a 40 degree power cube.

Some batteries have the option of a built in heater.

I enclosed my battery bay…and would add a heater if necessary…. But since the batteries only need to be above 32 to be charged (but not used), I don’t expect this to be an issue. I don’t even leave mine on charge when stored as their discharge rate is very low.
