LiPPERT Step

Hello, we have an Interstate 24 GT with a single Lippert Step that extends and retracts as the side door opens and closes. This step is no longer working. We can hear the motor run. It sounds like it's going through both the open and close cycles, but the step does not extend or retract on it's own. Any ideas on how to disable this step so we can use it manually? We are not close to a dealer for repair.
