Lucky me, DEF issue

Got the dreaded DEF contaminated dash warning about 200 miles from camp, ordered some DEF rescue off Amazon, DEF tests fine, called Spartan, not much they can do but tell me it's still in warranty and If it's the def head, I'll get 2 more warnings before derate, I did make a simulator a couple years ago, hope it works!

Anyone experienced this, how long do I have before derate? Can I install the simulator now?

Haven’t had to install ours but you should be able to install any time.

Depending on the system I “believe” it is a number of restarts before the derate.

Just install your simulator and carry on without a worry.. You can replace the head when it’s convenient for you.
