We had a very busy summer, March to October, trips every month.
Our last gig was to one of our "go to" every year, Grayland State Park on the Washington coast.
If you like eating fresh fish, you can buy it right off the fishing boats as they return, or go catch them yourselves, or have it cooked at many places.
In the fall they harvest cranberries too, we load up on those as well.
Already have about 4 trips booked for next year.
I think I will take the trailer to be serviced in spring, its is 3 years old now, no issues really, I do most stuff myself but I want to have the roof looked at, etc.
Its all aluminum framing, roof, walls, etc, and Azdel, so I don't worry about rot.
Hope everyone is healthy and happy, keep them tires full of air and your tanks topped off, and don't forget to laugh....

Some pictures.....

Where is this please?

The state campground is in Grayland, Washington, on the coast. The general area is south of the Olympic Mountain range which is the northern most landmass of USA that ends at the Straight of Juan De Fuca. The boats you see are in Westport, Washington, and Tokeland, Washington, both active fishing communities. The cranberry field is in Grayland.

Oh, something to think about next late spring. Just go up 101 to get there. Thanks and simply stunning photos too!!

I think I need to look into including Grayland on our "to do" list!

For sure if you are just up a Birch Bay...... easy run down the 5 or catch the Coupeville-Port Townsend Ferry and go around the Olympics or down the east slope and canal. We like the lower loop, no sewer but closer to the beach trails. Upper loops have sewers.

Oh my, you definitely have an eye for photography! And your camera, wow!

Lots of other spots nearby too. We have this one reserved for next year, never been there, stopping off on our way back from Pacific Beach State campground, which is right on the water, the picture with the pilings was taken at sundown. These spots only have electricity, no sewer or water, but free hot showers, a place to fill your fresh water tanks before you park, and a dump station on your way out.....
The other two pictures are the spot we will be staying in at Lake Sylvia...... no hook ups at all, but again a fill station, dump, and you can run your generator if needed, but this spot is right on the water, fish right off your camp spot! The attached photos are from the Washington State Park website....not my pictures.

Thank you, quite by accident.
My wife is an artist, quite by accident too.
We were involved in a fatal car accident many years ago and she was confined pretty much to bed after they flew her to trauma care in a Life Flight helicopter, for 2 years.
To keep her mind busy she started beading, making jewelry using glass beads.
Back in those days I had to take her to the doctors pretty much weekly after she was released from the hospital(s).
The girls in the offices saw the stuff she was wearing that she made and inquired about it......
When she told them she made it they said NO WAY.
They decided to have a "jewelry party" for her, inviting friends to attend, etc.
She made up a bunch of stuff and I loaded her, her wheelchair, and stuff, and dropped her off at one of the nurses home. She SOLD OUT...... every piece!

Long story short, she learned to make the beads herself, she creates them in a flame melting glass using oxtgen and propane then anneals them in a kiln for 10 hours at 1000 degrees. We buy the "raw" glass from Italy by the pound and its priced by color and other considerations, much like how they price beef steaks!

She sculptures them into all sort of shapes and animals. I made her a studio where she does this in our home.
She now sells her creations all over the world through the INTERNET, pretty much each night she creates 10-30 beads ( no two alike EVER) and she needed someone to take pictures to show and display her product(s) on the WWW.
She bought me a little point and shoot digital camera, thrust it into my hands and said LEARN TO TAKE PICTURES OF MY BEADS.....

After much frustration I came to find a new love with photography I would never have otherwise, with landscapes my favorite.

She has been doing this for over 25 years now, heck, it bought our travel trailer :)

You just never know where those rough roads in life might take you, all I know is that you don't stop, you keep going.....and believing what lies ahead will be truly amazing!

Already started to research to make a plan, probably for September '26. I want to locate boondocking spots for part of the trip. We can be completly off-grid comfortably for two weeks or more. Going I5 to the 101 at Olympia is faster but I'd gladly take the extra time to take the ferry to avoid the Everett to Olympia traffic mess!

Great story, Ray, well, aside from the accident.
