We have full time traveled in 38' fivers, 38' gas motorhomes, 43' pushers, and now back to a 44' fiver. We have always planned ahead and depending on what rig we had some campgrounds or State parks could not handle our length. So we set up our fuel stops in advance along with our overnight stops and that dictates how many miles per day.

We have driven as little as 250 miles a day and we have had a handful of days over the years where I will go 600 miles. Generally speaking the perfect distance for us is around 350 miles each day.

IMHO, there are so many variables ranging from personal energy levels, road conditions, weather, traffic and what you are driving. In our coach I can comfortably drive 10 hrs a day but when I borrowed a friends dually pickup to tow our car hauling trailer 45 min away for service, I was exhausted after the 1.5 hr round trip.
