MN, SD, & WY Recommendations

Planning a 10 +/- day MH trip through WI to MN, SD, and likely as far as Gillette, WY in mid August.
Other than the obvious Wall Drug & Mt. Rushmore, looking for recommendations as to where & what to see & do, and campground suggestions.
(Prefer KOA's as they are dog friendly &, as a subscriber, I get 10% off.)
Keep in mind, however, we have a toad to sightsee and we also travel with our fur baby so excursions need to be dog friendly or of fairly short duration.

Looking forward to experienced suggestions.

Hope you're including Badlands NP as "obvious."

We recently spent 10 days in the southwest corner of ND. Custer State Park, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Tain, The Badlands, Minuteman Missile Silo, Deadwood, Spearfish Canyon, Devils Tower, dessert at the Alpine Inn in Hill City, Wind Cave, etc. Other than that, I guess there's not much else to do. I'm not a KOA person, but there is a big one near Rushmore.
