Working on a trip to Custer SD from Scottdale AZ.
Return from Custer to home we plan to visit friends in Durango.
Looking at the map I'd like to run I25 down to 285 around Denver and then over through Pagosa Spring and on to Durango.
Looking for an overnight about half way and any advice/opinions on the planned route. I'd like to get through Denver and stay somewhere along 285 but options look sparse.
Is there a better route?
