I saw a post on FB where another Newmar owner added Summit stainless steel strips to the rear engine cover. I liked the look and ordered them for mine. Newmar paints the metal mesh on the back of the engine door black. I removed the mesh and painted it the same color as the engine door. I felt the black and SS would make it look too busy. I'm glad with the results.

Installing the SS strips was pretty easy. They have two strips of two sided tape attached. I slit the tape backing at the center of the strip and removed about 4", leaving the backing paper attached. I centered the strips with duct tape supports, pressed the center on and then pulled the backing paper off in both directions, pressing as I went.

Beautiful! We all love the stainless which was sad to see Newmar "appear" to cheap out on. Nice find!

Great look, Big improvement over stock??

The SS was $209 shipped to California. $159, plus $50 shipping.
