Hi everyone,

My wife and I are exploring the idea of finding a 2019 or 2020 Brinkley Model G. Our main interest is the rear flex/garage space — we’d like to convert it into a dedicated office for both of us.

From what I’ve seen, if the unit already has the Happijac system installed, it looks like a fairly straightforward modification to adapt the space for desks and workspace. We’d prefer to purchase one that already includes the Happijac rather than installing one ourselves.

We expect to continue working full-time as we transition into full-time RV living, with fairly heavy boondocking use. Even after stepping away from our conventional jobs, we plan to stay active in Christian ministry, workamping, or wherever the Lord leads, so having a separate, dedicated work area is important to us. We’re not interested in using part of the main living area as office space.

For those of you who own (or have owned) a 2019–2020 Model G:

  • Did most units from those years come with the Happijac system?
  • How practical is the garage space for a dual-desk office setup?
  • Any lessons learned regarding insulation, heating/cooling, or power needs for extended off-grid work?

We’d really appreciate any insight or experience you’re willing to share. Thanks in advance!
