I haven't been over it in a few years, last time was in a ram dually drew cab cummins pulling a 16,500 pound fifth wheel. Wondering about going over it with a 45,000 pound class a pulling a full size extra cab silverado 4x4.
Camelot has the pac brake which I believe is about the same as the exhaust brake I had on the 2018 Ram or works the same. I've don't use it much on the Camelot but I know it works.

Heading east, I'm more concerned with getting down it than I am climbing it, but a little concerned about both.

Just go slow, maybe 1 gear lower than you would go up, and use that engine brake continuously. As someone recently said, you can go down a hill too slow many times, but you might only do it too fast once. I’m paraphrasing, but thats the idea.

As to going up, I ended up in first gear on a grade in Maine last year, but I still made it up. So you may be slow but you’ll get there and it will only be a problem for impatient folks behind you.
