Leaving on the 28th to head "West"! Our first trip west of the Mississippi!

Question: Are there mosquito/bug issues in the NE, ND, SD, Montana, Wy, or other areas?

Therma-Cell's recommended?

Your suggestions?

Thanks!

We had a terrible situation last with black blood sucking flies in Devils Lake state park ND. Bastards were everywhere and ferocious biters. They look like ordinary black flies. Read below:
Blood sucking flies of ND

We haven't experienced any "above normal" bug activity in any of the western states. I try to avoid being out from dusk to maybe an hour after dark wherever we are in order to experience less bites. If out during the "feeding" times I either wipe down with a dryer sheet or use a repellent.

i bought a small rechargeable bug zapper for inside the coach from Wallmart for around $20 that actually works. Also doubles as a night light. I might get another. Has an attractant that goes in the middle and when charged is cordless so it can go anywhere. About 3.5” in diameter. Very convenient.

I see you live in St Augustine, Florida. If you can stand the no-see-ems there you can take on any bug out west. At least they are big enough in the west to fight them fair and square.
Hate no-see-ems
