Moving On From a Diesel Motorhome Back to Gas

as the design is driven by the mandates of people who care less about reality and users. And that's why so many motors are failing...often early.
It's not that they don't care; they're too dumb to understand the engineering part of building an ICE, diesel, or EV vehicle. All they do is follow their party's script, have staff research the negatives in a biased fashion, without cause or concern for how their actions will affect the general populace. Then, they'll have their hands out to stuff their left pockets from the lobbyists and supporters who promoted their decisions and votes.

I believe the next few years you'll see many improved engines and vehicles being produced. The current climate in D.C. has removed obstacles and insane regulations, freeing the auto manufacturers.
 
I hear you. My old boss had to have the biggest Searay in Buffalo, NY, compared to friends and acquaintances at the marina. So he bought a 45' Sundancer, I believe that had twin diesels. I think Cummins 8.3L. One day at work, my boss comes in dirty and in a foul mood. I asked, "Hey, Chuck, what's the matter?" and he replied, "Those damn diesels each take 20 quarts of oil." The boat nearly bankrupted him. Boy, did he have a hard time selling it.

Ive had aluminum heads on my iron block 383 stroker for 20 years. 11 to 1. compression, huge roller cam, 7000 rpm shifts..never had any gasket issures

Well, GM and Obama's hand picked CEO Mary Barra is still chasing EVs for $100K, while eliminating almost every "Car" they sell. Watch out Corvette. IMHO she'll bring GM back to bankruptcy.

Ford did come out with the new Godzilla V8 a few years back, finally moving on from the tired V10. Moved from the failed Lightning F-150 pretty quickly, almost bankrupted them, the Broncos and Mavericks are huge successes, and exploring hybrids like Toyota.

Give Stellantis credit with power plants and coming out with 3 new Chrysler nameplate cars soon.
