So we bought a brand new forest river sierra last october and I just took it in today to have the slide adjusted. What I found out is the the back of the camper is 1 1/2" wider than what it is supposed to be. That being said they say that they will have to replace the whole back panel. How in the world can this happen? This concerns me that we could have problems down the line with water leaks. Should we push this to having the camper replaced? It makes me sick that we spent 40k on a new camper and now have to go through this. Any advice is appreciated.

I would contact Forrest River and voice your concerns. I would get a 2nd opinion.

Thanks. I think I know what the answer will be, that they will fix it. With this being brand new, I think they should replace the camper since this was a manufacturer defect.

I don't know about trailers, but when I took my Forester in to have roof, ceiling and other stuff replaced, they did a better job in the repair facility at FR than the original build.
