Looking to replace my 43 inch flatscreen on my 2014 Cedar Creek. Looking for a smart TV but not sure if there is something unique about the TV in the camper that’s different from traditional flat screens. Does anyone have any recommendations as to an appropriate TV? Thanks
Nothing really unique as TV's go. I went out and changed mine to "Smart TV's" as well. I just bought the ones I liked and would fit the space. You may have to change the mounting brackets, but that is about it. I now use my IPhone as a hotspot for the TV and watch all my internet shows.
Most TV's have a common mount on the back called a VESA mount. I don't know much about it but it wouldn't concern me. Just make sure wherever you buy your TV it can be returned. Maybe take the one you have off and take a picture or measure it before buying a replacement?
Take out the old one first. Verify dimensions and mounting arrangements. As Neal mentions, there is an international standard but there is also variety between manufactures (patterns may be same, but bolt sizes different).
We had to change our tele-vator TV on our Canyon Star. We just picked up a Walmart special since we knew we were trading coach in soon. Mounting in tight configuration, with non mechanically inclined DW as helper, activated my colorful naval language skills. Also left me with some new scars.
