I will be installing a new 1500 TOSOT AC/Heatpump into a 17' Jayco camper. The install looks pretty straight forward.

There have been a few instances where breaker has tripped when A/C + fridge & other powered items were run at he same time. So I am thinking that adding a soft start module would be a good idea.

Can anyone recommend a make/model suitable? I see such a wide range of soft start units that say "they work for campers". So for a little at $75. and several in the $275-$325 range. I hate the "you get what you pay for" argument. I don't mind paying a higher price point if I need to. I just want to make sure I get the right unit that is going to help with this application.
FWIW. Tech support from TOSOT was no help as all. They just said: "we will be offering a soft start soon". But no recommendation.

For soft start recommendations I recommend Micro Air:

That was one of the units I was considering just based on other posts. Does that mount up inside the unit? or does it get wired inline between the RV and the unit power feed?
