Explanation on Date Codes.
"RV Tire Date Code
The date code on an RV tire is used to determine the manufacturing date of the tire. This code is typically found on the sidewall of the tire and starts with the letters "DOT" The date code consists of a series of numbers, where the first two digits represent the week of the year and the last two digits represent the year of manufacture For example, a date code of "0508" indicates that the tire was manufactured in the 5th week of 2008
For tires manufactured before the year 2000, the date code will be only three digits, with the first two digits representing the week of the year and the last digit representing the last digit of the year of manufacture This means a date code of "529" could indicate the tire was manufactured in December 1999, 1989, or 1979
It is important to note that the date code is not always easy to find and read, as it may be located on the inside of the tire and may require crawling underneath the RV to locate it Additionally, the date code is only a rough idea of when the tires need to be replaced, as the actual lifespan of a tire can depend on various factors such as how well the tires have been maintained "
