Well the old gas powered BBQ finally gave up.

Based on conversation here we purchased a new Ninja

Can you get the real charcoal flavor with those things?
 
With the smoke option, it does taste like it came from a smoker, but as far as charcoal flavor, no. You won't get that with a gas grill either. We've got the bigger one for the house and the original smaller unit for the coach. Got rid of the Blackstone & the little Weber gas grill and now use these exclusively. You will love it Joe!

well it says Woodfire on the front so I'd think it produces a better tasting burger than what I've had from other gas grills at friends houses.

(We have a green egg, but not a portable one)
