FYI New Ninja convert

Well the old gas powered BBQ finally gave up.

Based on conversation here we purchased a new Ninja

Can you get the real charcoal flavor with those things?

With the smoke option, it does taste like it came from a smoker, but as far as charcoal flavor, no. You won't get that with a gas grill either. We've got the bigger one for the house and the original smaller unit for the coach. Got rid of the Blackstone & the little Weber gas grill and now use these exclusively. You will love it Joe!

well it says Woodfire on the front so I'd think it produces a better tasting burger than what I've had from other gas grills at friends houses.

I bought my Ninja last summer and used it a bit but I had my GMG Terk with me and knew that well. This summer I left the GMG in Florida and only have the Ninja this summer so will be learning. I did have the expertise of @GlampDaddy last week when I did steaks (came out good) but will have to learn on my own the rest I’d summer.

Welcome to the group! The only downside is the cleanup afterwards. Smoked a meatloaf for the first time the other day and placed a piece of foil under it (per discussions in this forum). It really did help with cleanup.
The meatloaf was good!
There are charcoal flavored wood pellets available
