I cant tell you where to stay but get your hands on some fresh beignets while you are there...Those pop tart boxes will be in the recycling bin quickly.

I was looking in New Orleans itself. There are some really run downs out there. Then some are real pricey. Good luck.

Unfortunately, if you want to be near the French Quarter, there is really only one choice. French Quarter RV Park is within walking distance of the French Quarter. It is not very glamorous and can be quite noisy as it is situated right next to
/under a main freeway. It is however gated and safe. We are going to be there for Mardi Gras next February at a ridiculous price.....it is what it is.
