First year with our Class A, we are winterizing the Motorhome. Bought a cover, but we were told should start it every week for the batteries and generator. That is going to be a pain having to keep moving the cover. Any recommendations?

Some questions first: What are you protecting your coach from? What part of the county are you from? How tight does your cover fit?

If you were to complete the info on your profile we would have more info that would help us.

Thanks

We live in Michigan (US)the RV sits outside. Protect it from the harsh elements. Just bought the cover, putting it on today. Suppose to fit a 30 to 33 ft RV.

Okay. No salty air. That's a plus. The minus (s) are wind, and snow. Since your cover is not going to be tight fitting. No matter how it is lined you will probably have some "flapping" going on which is detrimental to paint and trim. Loosening the cover to get access to the inside sucks!! When it it cold, and I'm sure Michigan gets pretty cold, you will have a harder time snugging the lines as the material does not stretch like it does when it is warm. No matter how much we tried. it just didn't snug up well again.

We used ours for one winter then tried to be more careful the second. Mid December we cut the ties and tossed the cover. There was paint damage on the front corners by the w/Shield. The cap that covered the awning end up front was cracked and both mirror covers (not painted but black plastic) were rubbed raw. That was the first year. The second was causing the same issues. After that we gave the coach a good coat of wax before putting it away and we were much happier.

I can't remember the name of the company that produced ours but it had a soft and fuzzy lining that we thought was great. We also custom ordered it fitted for a 28. You can see from the photos that there was not a lot of folding going on. I hope you have better luck with yours.

Wow, I hope that doesn't happen either. We decided to remove the batteries and see how it goes this winter. Good luck to us. Have a great winter. Thank you for your insight.
