Hola everyone!
I just signed up on the Forum to ask about my buying an Entegra Vision XL. Looking at the XL tow rating of 5000#, and then the GVWR of a typical Ford Bronco or Jeep Wrangler Rubicon- both exceed the 5000# tow rating.
So, my question is: What cars, SUV’s are Entegra owners towing? Are you just not towing even medium sized SUV’s?

Not an Entegra but we have a 22 Jeep Cherokee that we tow.

They are making them again but not sure if the new ones are towable.

I think the only Wrangler that weighs in at over 5000 is the 4 door 392. Official 2024 Wrangler Curb Weights - by doors / motor / transmission

The tow rating isn't fixed. It's established by subtracting your coach gross vehicle weight ( gvw) from your "fixed" gross combined vehicle weight ( gcvw). For example if your gvwr is 18,000 lbs and your vehicle is rated for a gcvw of 23,000 lbs your towing capacity would be 5,000 lbs. ( 23,000 - 18,000). If your actual gvw is 17,000 lbs then you could theoretically tow 6,000 lbs. ( 23,000 - 17,000 = 6,000). The caveat being however your receiver hitch rating, but receiver hitches can be changed.
Otherwise, If you're only talking about a few hundred lbs. I wouldn't worry about it regardless.

The fudge factor is very likely in your favor! :)
Don't forget, you are not towing a trailer that has a tongue weight; very little downward force on the rear when flat towing; the hangup is pull weight and stopping power.
