I have been trying to figure out why Newmar did this ... and I just remembered reading the following in the 2022 MOUNTAIN AIRE NEW FEATURES AND PRODUCT CHANGES list. Wonder if this was the culprit that did it??
  • The height of the bottom of the kitchen overhead cabinets has been raised to a standard height of 18.5” above the kitchen countertop.
FLSteve
Ohhhh yes. That would make sense. Well after all the whining about the kitchen storage....today I unloaded the boxes in the basement. Wowzers. Tons of space down there. I'm going shopping.

Got an update on my 3014 Baystar ; delivery date from the dealer.

"waiting on an awning, expect a firm delivery date sometime next week"
I was in run #17 ordered July 16th

Funny thing, my last RV which was a Leisure Travel Van, that was also delayed by an awning delivery issue....

Oh yes! POWER. It has get up and go. It also feels like a smoother and quieter ride. I don’t know if this makes sense, but it feels more weighty and substantial. I’m still getting used to the adaptive cruise and collision mitigation. Talk about instant feedback. I’ve turned off the Mobileye for now. Once I get used to all the alarms and seat vibrations, I’ll give it a try again.

I’ve only driven it for 2 days as I was hauling it from Texas to NC for Thanksgiving. I should have more feedback once I start traveling more. Big bonus…the lights. I don’t like to drive at night especially with the DS as it was hard to see. No such issues with the LA. I was quite comfortable driving in the dark. Once I’m moved in, unpacked and can find things, I’ll start a thread regarding the differences unless someone else wants to chime in and get it going.
@ARD I think a lot of what you are noticing is the Valid Air active leveling and predictive lean assist. This is the same thing I have had on my Dutch stars with HWH Active Air. It makes the entire coach handle like a dream, and feels more planted.

X2. Love Active Air!

I thought Valid didn't have this, only HWH via the steering column sensor?
in 2018, Valid added predictive lean to their system, using data from the steering column on the CANBUS. The result is a direct replication of HWH-AA.

Mitch talked about replacing their column sensor with a CANBUS sensor too, as he felt it would be faster and more accurate.

don't forget you can also go to the comnet and search you coach serial number by adding "cs" to the end and it will return all documents they have on your specific coach.

@redbaron ... I think I read that your coach goes into production on 12/15. Let us know if/when anything starts to show up on com.net. Just wondering if they keep that updated on a daily basis.

Update on our Ventana 4037 order is that they are waiting on a "few parts" and do not have completion or ship date yet. Dealer says they are hoping for a couple weeks. Getting excited. Order was placed on September 13th but we special ordered a fireplace. Can't wait to post pictures!

My 22 DS4311 is sitting on a pad at the factory waiting on the main awning and the generator. They have no idea when those parts will be available.

Ron,

I received an update late last week on my 3014 Baystar “the awning should be in around January 1st, then the testing And prep… “so hoping around mid January for delivery. Keeping fingers crossed…. no issue on the generator that I have been told, but the Baystar generator is smaller that the DS…

good luck

Okay, time to show how I goofed up on my exterior paint. First I have to thank @NWIP for his help and I should have talked to him again before changing my mind. Still kicking myself and having dreams of how I screwed up. Also, thanks to @redbaron for teaching me how to use Adobe Illustrator and making it dumbproof so I could spend hours and hours messing around with paint colors in the proper pathways. I signed off on a paint rendering and all was well, but when others saw what I signed off it seemed everyone had an opinion and I had over 7 people tell me to change the color pathways. Sigh. I don't know why I was so insecure about the custom paint job and let others influence me, but I did and so I changed it at the last minute. It seems rather childish to whine about a custom paint job when I'm blessed to be getting this new coach, but dayum when you order a new coach, yah just want it to LOVE IT. C'est la vie. It was my error. So my advice to others, spend as much time as you need to get the colors just right so you LOVE IT! And if you love it, trust yourself and let it be.

Maybe someone with more experience with custom paint can start a new thread with advice when selecting this special.

Meanwhile, @Neal was able to get some photos of my rig when he was at the factory in addition to the ones Newmar took.

it's perfect!!!

Personally I really like the graphic on the Essex, think you did a wonderful job with the paint. Beautiful coach.

I’m quite confused at this moment.

I’m quite confused at this moment.
I got confused as it shows he has a Essex but pictures are of London Aire. Not sure of the year but graphics look different than 2022 London Aire. So I am now confused as well😳 but that’s normally during happy hour.

That was my 2016 LA I sold March 2022, I ordered an Essex that is yet to be delivered. Attached picture is 2022 Essex - same paint colors as my LA
Sorry for the confusion

No sweat, @ScottyA. Congrats on your soon to be yours Essex. They are awesome machines.

Oh understand and congratulations on your new coach. Hope it comes soon.

For those in the pipeline or desire to be for 2022 Newmar Motorhomes feel free to use this thread to discuss the ordering process, any details on specials, and share delivery info such as factory pictures, FPU's, deliveries by dealers, etc.
Ordered a 2022 BayStar 3014 on 9/20/21 and dealer indicates mid to late January 2022 (barring part problem or snow storm)

I just did the Newmar Virtual Tour hosted by Chris Sponseller with Newmar. A very informative presentation and Chris took questions. Chris was actually the representative that inputted my order at Newmar. He told me my 2022 Ventana 3407 that I ordered October 20 has been "pulled for production" and assigned a production number. He also said the sub-component plants are fabricating the cabinets, ceiling pieces, window treatments, and the interior and exterior walls.

There hasn't been a production date scheduled as of yet, but once there is and my Ventana is on the line, he will send me the VIN. According to my sales representative at my dealer, she is thinking possibly a March delivery which is sooner that I was anticipating. There will be a few items that will need to be installed once it gets delivered so I will not be taking immediate delivery. Solar system, Cradlepoint, and a Blue Ox towbar with the Air Force One braking system for my Jeep Wrangler.
