About FPU…I have done both FPU and dealer delivery at NIRVC. There was no comparison. Newmar FPU is worth every dime. I would do it if they charged $10K.

+1^1000 - do the FPU, it is worth it and will save you months/years of misery. PDI is "pretty it and get off my lot" - NEVER PASS UP FPU and yes it is negotiable. It is a buyers market, don't think anything otherwise. They will probably include FPU just to get your sale but it's probably too late. I'd also reach out to another dealer such as Steinbring. Dealers to me just place the order, after that I do FPU and never need the dealer again.

Sad fact is today's builds are not like 10 years ago. Paint, wood word, quality, etc. are all lacking and you will need to keep that coach at Newmar until much is corrected before it leaves. Reality and it's the cost of your pleasure ahead - do the FPU!

I have owned 8 rvs already. I rarely have had to go in for service beyond chassis maintenance as I no longer get that dirty lol. I really do not feel the need for $6,600.
I have heard from two different folks who did the fpu and had issues a month later. I think its the luck of the draw. When I buy an rv I check everything before money exchanges hands. I do not care if its eight hours I am doing a thorough check on every system. If something happens later it happens
I also do not feel Newmar should be paid for what they should have found in QC, it literally pays them to do warranty work

100% agree with this, it was one of my heartburns as well. It sounds like you have great experience, it was my first RV (and Class A) so it was well worth it to me for many reasons. Sounds like you have a solid plan and hope all goes amazing for you! Standing by for pics :)

Awesome!! great selection of specials!!

Has anyone ever requested a small tub in a 40' Dutch Star? The wife is a bath person and would really like one. I think I see a way, but would like to know what Newmar has to say.
