Hi all. I am planning to do some camping but have a few issues resolve. I am disabled so tent camping is out. I can't sleep on the floor.

I'm worried about vulnerability if I get a pop up camper and putting them up would be hard.
My tow vehicle is rated for 1800 Lbs. That tow number is hard to find a camper for my suv.

I am thinking about used Class C but they cost too much plus the fuel prices will be awful the next three years.

Do I purchase a used van and convert it to a camper?

I don't like to cook inside my camping vehicle. I do all my cooking outside. I really don't need a TV. I do need a small refrigerator though. I also want an awning or pop-up awning for the kitchen area. I want a queen bed located at the back of
the van.
I want to set outside and enjoy peace and solitude. I will have multiple weapons at reach should anyone attemp to harm me..

I live in the mountains of NC so we have campgrounds galore. The only great distance will be a trips to Pensscola Beach FL. Savanah GA, Myrtle Beach area. Your input would be apappreciated.

Welcome aboard!

You might try a smaller C, possibly a used rental Class C. Nothing fancy but durable and known maintenance history with a limited warranty.

Welcome. Have you considered getting a truck camper.
