Most chassis components (suspensions, etc), in your coach, are often torqued on 'average', 300-500 ft/lb, some even more. A 4' wrench is essential.. Thats one reason, you never want to have alignments performed at a dealer that does not have an alignment rack or a full pitt. Some dealers perform alignments on the shop floor and by laying under the coach, or elevated on jack stands. More often than not, they'll leave you a surprise or two! It is very difficult to torque the axle nuts and bolts to the proper spec by laying on the floor, under the coach. Semi tractors and trucks in general, maybe different, as they usualy have more clearances than a class A motorhome.
 
Here is a bottoom view of a tag axle. The bolts for the thrust adjustment require 420 or more ft/lb. Imagine trying to torques the marked bolts with a 4' wrench, while holding the other side of the bolt with another wrench! Even on an elevated alignment rack (about 4' of ground) it was a hand full, let alone, laying under the coach on the shop floor.
