I am curious when you would use Oasis electric (AC1 & ACII) versus heat pump to heat the RV? Do you have a preference for one over the other?

Heat pumps are effective only at temperatures above 40F.
Oasis electric elements do not provide enough BTU to heat the coach. You will have to use the diesel burner for heat.
I prefer the diesel heater to HP, but some people prefer using the campgrounds electric?

Oasis electric, heated floors, and when that doesn't work head farther south.

In the past I've been a fan of the furnace (electric) but in recent months I used heat pump and enjoyed it. My rear unit can make some pretty annoying noises at times but not all the time, hard to sleep through that. Try each and see what you like. As stated above HP is only affective in the 40's and higher temps. For the electric/furnace option there should be a fan speed switch on the dash, mine is below the dash radio, that is an important switch when it's really cold, make sure it's on high.

We have used both at times, both have Pluses and minuses. If temps are only going to be in mid 40's or so, you can get by with the Element in the Oasis, you maybe can get buy with both HP running. I have taken the chill off the coach with them, when in 40's. But the Oasis would keep the bottom half of RV warmer than HP's would, so maybe both. Their is a way to get both to run, but letting fan switch stay in the lo-med-hi setting (your choice for noise). It's either or for us. I would use Diesel burner at least once month to keep it exercised like manual says.

I always use the furnace. The HP is too loud and annoys the heck out of me. If it's above 40 degrees, I just rely on the electric (AC I and AC II). If below 40, I turn on the burner. I have heated floors and a fireplace, so oftentimes that is all I need.
