Hello to all my fellow RV enthusiasts. New to this site so mind my naiveties. I’ve recently purchased a Nexus Triumph 29’ and we love it. Second owners. All documented maintenance papers. My oil change display light has come on recently. With only 2,000 miles since the last change and I have checked the oil level and clarity. Should I be concerned?

Thanks for the reply but it might not be the problem as the light has come on after a few short road trips. Could it be a faulty sensor? Not a gear head by any stretch.

Our 2024 Ram 2500 Crew diesel displays oil life remaining and fuel filter life remaining. Our 2007 Ram 2500 diesel did not show that, but got its changes based on our looking at miles driven and doing changes "by the book".

Your owners manual should tell you whether it is just setting the reminder based in miles driven since last reset, or adjusting a calculated change point for how you are using it.

If the seller baselined the unit by changing the oil as sale prep, you probably are just seeing the forgotten reset, as MNC has explained.

(Being old school, our 2024 2500 Ram will also get it's changes at the book intervals even if the %remaining status still shows non zero.. Logbook discipline and preplanned work done in our own shop at home is the way for us!)
