Looks cool BUT!!!
You have to be assimilated into the Apple Ecosystem. Pretty sure it isn't for Windows of Android.
Yes it appears to me Apple / Mac only.

I've had good look with my older Garmin RV660 LTM. I upgrade it every January. My navigator, errr, My Dear Wife, will use Google when we deviate from our route when heading to a campground, Harvest Host, or Walmart. At times when the directions Garmin gives don't seem to make sense, looking ahead, she'll Google the directions and make a comparison to the route Garmin is leading us on.

I don't believe there is any 100% navigation system out there, but I think the improvements Google is making are a great addition to an already great platform.
Totally agree and we do the same. I run as primary our Garmin RV785 and my wife parallels with Google maps

I was thinking about checking that one out and designating my iPad as my permanent GPS unit on the dash mount. We may be picking up our new to us, used first RV this weekend! I want to have some confidence in whatever app we get so I’ve been researching a lot of them. It looks like the RV has gps in the upgraded stereo unit in the dash but I’m not sure what it is.

Grizzlee,
When you get your new to you RV, let us know the make & size of the dash unit. Hopefully we can make it very useful for you!

Awesome! I will definitely let you know. Now you got me wanting to look at the pics I took and see is I can zoom in enough to get a name off it. 🤣
I’m so anxiously excited to get our first rig I want it now! I want to get busy setting it up.

For those who used Google Maps and Waze 10 years ago as cell phone coverage improved with 4G you will remember these applications were nearly real time with feed back and alerts. That functionality was slowly deleted because it often required heads down screen entries to figure out what was going on, particularly if the new information suggested a route change. So in the interest of safety many of the interactive and early alert features were deactivated.

10 years ago many of these cell phone mapping apps had look ahead features that would prompt you with an alert for traffic congestion or road closures up to two hours ahead of your present position. Now you are lucky to get these alerts just minutes before you hit the problem.

Having a conversation AI mapping app that is always looking ahead giving you suggestions for alternate routing, then implementing that route change via voice command will be a big step forward.

Right now I am not aware of any of the AI LLM's that are location "location aware" on purpose. For sure Grok has not implemented this functionality. When they are given access to location services on a smartphone or tablet a whole new world of voice interaction during travel will open up.
