Thought I would post a few pics of our older 2005 HR Admiral gasser. We look at newer motorhomes regularly, but they just don't seem built very well in our price range. Love the aluminum sides and roof, and the solid wood interior finishes. So, we just keep this old girl going.
We have updated to led TV's and lights, added usb ports, and have done some slide out work with Talin RV Guardian Plates. We are still just weekend warriors, and tow something to play with on every trip. The V10 pulls all of them easily.

She looks great and apparently well cared for. Welcome to the forum!

Welcome to RVF @Tjdave; glad to have you. You have cared well for your HR and it shows. I love to see well-kept vintage rigs still on the road. It says something good about the owners. And, I like the "TJ" in your name too! We're willing to share. ;)

Hello. I have 2004 Admiral.
I’m interested in the Guardian Plates.
Did they help and were they worth the cost?
Today they are about $1.200.00. Little pricey.

Yes! They fixed my slidout problems completely. Sagging floor at the ends and roller damage. No problems for the years I had it. A friend who owns a mobile RV repair installed them. He heard about Guardian Plates and it was an easy install...for him. I traded the Holiday Rambler for a Tiffin gasser a few years ago. Here'san old pic I found.

Hi Tjdave.
Thanks for responding.
I’ll look a little closer at the Guardian plates.
My issue is with the bedroom slide.
I may build them my self.
Thanks again.

No problem. Mine was the bedroom slide also. The rollers glide on the stainless plates and the corners are sealed after install. I caught it before I had any leaking issues. I remember Talon emailing me for model, slide type, and measurements. They sent everything. Plates custom made for my 30pdd, glue, 2 different sized rivets, and instructions. I had to buy the rivet tool they recommended. I was very happy with their customer service. Worth the cost for me. Good luck with your fix.
