First ONDemand water heater I've owned/used.
I understand that it takes time to get the water to the shower. I turn the hot water on, it gets hot, turn it down about half way and turn cold water on about half way. Make minor adjustments to get the temp right and shower. Minutes later, the water turns cold. Have to go through the whole routine again to get the hot water back. Water is plenty hot in bath sink and kitchen sink and doesn't seem to "fade out" like it does in shower.

Has anyone found the trick to using this OnDemand water heater?

I like it. Not Boon Docking friendly but works great with FHU's.

Our water heater has a digital control to set the desired temperature. In the summer we find 106-109 degrees is plenty. We set our temp then turn all hot water on, occasionally adding just a little bit of cold if it gets to hot.Seems to me the newer water heaters have very sensitive pressure flow control switch’s which I believe are for scalding safety as my 6 year old tankless in my older RV works much better at regulating temps.I totally agree these water heaters are not best for boon docking.
