I just purchased a 2003 Fleetwood Bounder 35e . In immaculate condition ! I looked at it twice the first time it was 9 degrees outside . The second time it was 31 degrees . The previous owner tried to start the generator on my first time and it would turn over but not start , He's owned since new and told me before trying it was to cold . The second time didn't turn over as well but still didn't start , I went ahead and purchased it and when I brought home 4 to 5 hours later it barely cranked . Went out this morning and nothing . I understand there are only chassis batteries and house batteries on this coach . The coach starts right up and everything works except the generator . The lights inside fridge is on ? I am leaning towards house batteries are bad ? When I tested them inside the coach chassis batteries at 14.1 house batteries a 10.1 ? Any help would be greatly appreciated ! Thanks

Check the grounds at the generator.

Check the battery connections at the generator too, and get a voltage reading.

You might use a jumper to get it started until you narrow down the electrical issues.

Give it a couple of minutes to prime. Make sure there is plenty of gas in the tank. Hold the start switch down until it is running at speed.

My Coachman has a battery switch boost switch on the dash which allows me to use the Chassis and house at the same time to provide a boost. It is a momentary switch so as long as you hold it you have the extra power.

10.1 volts on the house battery is dead. They may be beyond recovery. Is the coach plugged in? If so, is the charger working? Voltage should be around 14v if charging.

Ok, was it plugged in? Was the coach running? Yes 14.1 is charging voltage not battery voltage. Full charged is about 12.7. The 10.1 is definitely dead.
Try starting the generator with the RV running. Try using the batt connect switch. It is a momentary switch so you have to hold it down for 4-5 min before trying so you can build up the dead battery.
Make shure the salesman switch is on(battery control switch) It may shut off power to/from the battery's.
Yes check/clean all the connections including the ground to the frame. I would hook up a portable charger to the house batteries to see if they charge/hold a charge. How old are they?
Let me know what you find.
Bill
