Open in April? NY and VT

We are planning a trip for mid April following our daughter's college softball team where they have mid week games in western NY and then that weekend in Rhode Island. Any tips how we can find campgrounds that are open that time of year primarily say along the I-86 corridor? We have a couple extra days so hoping to find something in Vermont and we will finish in Connecticut where I've already got a spot. Any advice greatly appreciated thank you!

Kampfires is a nice small campground in Brattleboro, VT. Not sure when they open.
