Those old Newmar fivers were/are tanks!
 
I've seen a few of them and they are heavy duty. I think they were tandem axles, so 8 tires on those 2 axles, I see several really old 5ers in at Newmar for service every time I'm up there. Some people I grew up with were in the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus and had a London Aire 5th wheel. They loved it.
