owner of 2001 Newmar Dutchstar 40' diesel

hey everyone, i have a problem with my fantastic/dometic auto vent fans. The auto controller/motor is not working. the unit will not lift the arm to the vent cover. the gearing inside the unit appears to be worn and is grinding. i contacted Dometic and they gave me a part #K6055-81. I have searched all the usual vendors on-line and found nothing. If anyone has any info about finding this part or have had similar issues with this vent fan any info would greatly appreciated thanks

I have a Holiday Rambler not a Newmar so the part numbers would be different but I have the same kind of fans. The one in the bathroom stopped working so I bought the fan motor assembly (not the complete fan) and had it installed. Works like a charm! I could have done it myself but I was too busy with my job at the time so I paid someone. Didn't cost much at all.

This is what I bought. Worked like a charm!

As you can see they have other parts if this is not what you need.
