Attached is what my exterior shower compartment looks like.
Dull, dingy, and impossible to clean.
Tempted to mask off and spray paint it. Rustoleum has a top notch paint spray that I've used in the past.
Anyone have the sme and attempted to clean it up and/or paint?

These can be cleaned up with a Scotch Guard pad and good cleaner and then use a good vinyl sealer not paint. You can paint it as well however get a paint specifically made for this purpose and a good binding primer. The problem with painting is that the tend to chip and peel over time and that can leave you with a real mess.

I have scrubbed it and scrubbed it!. it is just discolored and already roughed up.

Tape it off and clean with acetone, then a bonding primer and a decent rattle can spray paint (Krylon). Several light coats are better than one heavy coat, but pay attention to the can directions. Some require recoating within a certain time period, if you're outside that window you have to give a day to cure before recoating.
