2019 304RKDS bought in 2022 used. The automated awing would not retract completely flush. Had to manually push it in the last little bit. While trying to troubleshoot, we extended the awing but the motor did not stop when it was completely out. It continued to run then began rolling back up in the wrong direction. This put a strain on the inner arm which is now bowed. Is this a design flaw with the motor? Every other camper I’ve ever been in the motor would stop when the awing was completely extended.

None of mine ever stopped at full opening. If you go beyond it will attempt to roll up backwards.

Thank you for your reply Sanda. I’ve never come across this issue in my many years of camping. Hopefully we only need to replace the inner arm. 🤞🏼
