I found this site because I was searching for a replacement of my Peplink Max Transit Duo that I am generally disappointed in after 1 year.

I also experience much slower speeds with my Peplink Max Transit Duo / Husky Parsec Pro 7 antenna than I do with my iPhone 14 Pro Max, even when devices are tethered to the phone. I use the Max Transit duo as my router, and then connect all TV's and devices to it via wifi. I have an ATT sim that is the same unlimited/non throttled plan as our iPhones. I expected significantly better performance due to it being connected to the external antenna.

Initially, I thought that perhaps the issue was simply the 4G vs. 5G capability and was targeting the Peplink Max BR1 Pro 5G, but now after reading a number of threads here and other forums, I'm not sure that 4G/5G is the only issue. I am hesitant to drop another $1k for the Peplink Max BR1 Pro 5G if I don't see significant improvement, but maybe the Spitz AX is a worthwhile route to go?

I am very happy with the Spitz. The performance is not the fastest, but it is very stable. It also handles the Wi-Fi as Wan and Starlink connections very well and is cheap enough that replacing it every 2-3 years with a newer model is feasible.


Another bonus, the built-in modem supports *magic* thru the UI. IYKYK

T-Mobile about 480Mbs, Starlink bursts of 600Mbs.
