I have a 2006 Phaeton that needed the house batteries replaced. I thought it would be a good time to upgrade to lithium batteries. For $1,200 I purchased Epoch 12v 480 hr lithium battery. When I switched out the four 6v batteries, everything went crazy. Turns out the Tiffin inverter would not work with lithium batteries. So I’m committed now and purchased a Victron MultiPlus II 12/3000/120-50 inverter charger for $900. Works great, except my control panel besothe Tv no longer displays batery status, blacb, grey, and frest water levels. I tried plugging in the data cable 6 wire phone jack into the victron, but no results. I know I can buy a battery monitor from Victron, but how can get the black, grey, fresh monitos to work? Advice please.

I did a complete 920 amp 4 battery Lithium conversion. With a 50 Amp DC to DC charger, (this is a must install!) A1200 watt 36 volt solar, a Midnight MPPT Solar controller. A Victron 720 monitor. It appears that the Magnum Inverter/ Converter/auto transfer switch can be programmed for lithium. Yes some monitors inside don't work (battery monitor). But my Tiffin Tank Monitors still work. It would help if you had an Electrical Engineer (my best friend!) to design it correctly. I added another Converter (Progressive Dynamics 60 Amp, for a small generator to quietly charge everything).
It appears that the Magnum is regulated for charging at 70 Amps for that occasional 30 Amp Campsite. (so breakers don't trip). It would also help to add a Battery Tender for Chassis batteries (running off Coach Batteries while inverter is on. This is because while plugged in my Chassis batteries are not charging. Maybe your rig is, so check that so you don't drain your chassis batteries.
Best of luck! I use a small 2 Amp charger so I don't ruin my Coach batteries. It appears to be what my Electrical Engineer friend approves!
Best of luck!
