Power inverters

Hello humans im such a new owner I haven’t taken possession yet. Very excited. ‘23 intech terra rover.

I’m wondering how everyone has managed with their refrigerator running on batteries and solar for extended periods and if there has been any issues with the tow vehicle and excessive alternator breakdown.

It’s an intech terra oasis rover with 2 200w solar panels. Apparently a standard feature on these trailers. We have a generator to be able to run the ac if we’re not in a full hookup situation but it seems the batteries are reliant on the solar and the tow vehicle

When plugged into grid the batteries should charge.

I kinda thought so but everything I’ve seen leans towards no.

Ok. So what type of inverter do you have? Not the name, that tells me nothing.

Does it have a built-in transfer switch?

Is it a inverter/charger?

Is there a separate converter that handles all 12 volt, or part of the inverter?( Maybe a 115 power cord on the inverter.)

Are the batteries Li? The Oasis came with a converter, battery charges when on grid, solar charges battery when off grid. Not sure what fridge or battery you have. My 12 volt fridge needed at least 150AH to handle cloudy days or parked under trees. Rather than add solar, my best solution was a 230AH Li.
