Just curious of what you guys think of pulling a 30’ Shadow Cruiser 280qbs with a 2012 Ford Expedition? I am currently pulling our trailer with a 2012 Ford F-150 but looking to trade it in and curious if anyone uses an SUV to pull these type of trailers and how they handle?

What are the towing and payload rating for your Expedtion? It will be a yellow sticker on the driver side door jam.

From what I find your Expedition should have a tow rating of 9200 pounds, and a payload capacity of 1630 pounds. Your trailer looks to have a GVW of 7710 pounds and a tongue weight (at 10%) of 771 pounds. Sounds like it might work, but without knowing the power train, this is just a guess.

I tried pulling my 30’er with a 2016 expedition xlt 2wd and it was white knuckle the whole time. I towed about 3 hours and with a WDH. The suspension is too soft and the truck is not heavy enough. There is plenty of power though.
