The RV we bought the previous owner installed a Haloview 3 camera system. There are a couple things I don’t like about it and want to replace it with a higher quality camera.
First, there is way too much lag in the video. It varies, sometimes so bad the car behind the RV on the monitor is actually passing us. Very unsafe. I’ve tried locating the monitor in different places, but I think either the signal is weak, or it’s just the unit. The resolution is OK, but I think it’s the unit.
Second, there is no convenient place to located the monitor in my truck. I would like to use one that clips on to the rear view mirror.
I’ve look on Amazon and see all kinds of off brand units, and I’m not convinced they are suitable for RV use. My truck has a built in camera for a trailer, but is very pricey.
As well, I’ve tried looking at reviews, etc. but I’m lost.
Haloview looks like a good brand, but I’m looking for recommendations based on people’s experience. I think all I need is a rear view.
