Ideas for an easy, effective fix? I don’t want to replace it. The next one will do the same thing after a month of use.

I’m pretty careful with mine. Never drag it across the ground or drop it from any height. Don’t want to have what you have now.

then you could use a large piece waterproof marine heat shrink which might also act as a strain relief. Large enough to place over end of plug and shrink onto both plug and wire.
