Question Radio Replacement

I am considering replacing the Clarion radio with a Kenwood DNR1008RV. Looking at the front dash it's not obvious how I remove the existing radio. I'd appreciate guidance on how to get access and remove the existing radio.

Carefully pry the outer edge bezel off. It’s just a snap on type thing. That will reveal the screws to remove and slide out the dash radio.

Just yesterday I was considering the exact same thing in our 2017 Ventana. Our is a Clarion NX-405. Did you make sure the Kenwood will fit? I was hoping to have Apple Car Play like the new radios have.

The screen is bigger but the back unit which contains the electronics should fit based on my investigation. It would be good to hear from someone that has actually done this. I have not investigated the electrical connections - I am assuming they are standard.

I've owned 2 Kenwoods and a Pioneer Android Auto head unit and they've always been buggy. In fact, I currently have a $1500 Pioneer head unit in my truck and it's hit or miss whether my phone will automatically connect and launch Android Auto. I usually have to mess with it for awhile to get it to launch. I've read reviews that some Kenwood units with built-in navigation will disable Google Maps on Android Auto. I don't have first hand experience with a unit with built-in navigation.

I replaced the Xite radio in our 2018 Ventana with a ATOTO A6 PF with a 9" screen. I got it on sale from Amazon for $250. It's been bug free. It runs Android natively and also has wireless Android Auto and Carplay. My phone connects automatically every time and it's worked perfectly. It was an easy install using the mounting brackets off the Xite. I didn't want to cut the chassis side connector off to splice wires so I cut the wires coming out of the Xite and wired to those. The wires colors were a one to one match.

I don't know how many cameras it will handle because the screen to the left in my picture is for the cameras. I know the head unit will handle at least two since the instructions mention how to hook up backup and forward looking cameras but I don't know about a third.
